The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has always accorded top priority to safeguarding the interests of nomadic and semi-nomadic tribal communities, said State BJP president P.V.N. Madhav.
Mr. Madhav participated in the Liberation Day for the nomadic and semi-nomadic tribes, which was organised by the party’s OBC Morcha here on Sunday, along with Pravin Gughe, a member of Development and Welfare Board of De-notified, Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Communities (DWBDNC).
Mr. Madhav recalled the British era when the migratory communities were chased away, ostracised, and viewed as runaway thieves.
