High drama prevailed for some time at the Deputy Commissioner’s office premises in Dharwad on Friday when BJP members and leaders who are on an indefinite protest seeking Minister for Planning and Statistics Nagendra’s resignation barged into the premises and tried to enter the office.
On Friday, MP and former Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar, former Mayor Iresh Anchatageri, district unit president Thippanna Majjagi and others participated in the protest and demanded Mr. Nagendra’s resignation.
Trouble started after the police latched the front gate of the Deputy Commissioner’s office, and there was a reported delay in the authorities meeting the protesters to receive their memorandum.
