Police registered an FIR against northwest Delhi’s Mundka BJP MLA Gajender Drall and others under the SC/ST Act on Tuesday (September 15, 2026), five days after a Dalit party worker, Sunil Kumar, alleged that he was severely beaten and subjected to casteist slurs at a party office, police said.

The FIR was registered at the Kanjhawala police station. A senior police official said that the FIR included provisions of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, the Arms Act, and other relevant sections. A counter-complaint from Mr. Drall has also been received and is being investigated, the official said.
