As part of the ongoing ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ marking Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 75th birthday and 25th year in office, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has launched a ‘Dappu’ (folk drum) beating event.
The event, launched late on Saturday (October 10, 2026) evening with 2,000 artistes beating the drum for 75 hours non-stop to commemorate Mr. Modi’s 75th birthday, is being held with an eye on securing a place in the Guinness World Records.
BJP State president P.V.N. Madhav launched the event by beating a traditional Dappu along with BJP national Scheduled Caste (SC) Morcha president Sivesh Kumar Ram, National Cells co-convener S. Vishnuvardhan Reddy, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) trust board member G. Bhanuprakash Reddy, BJP State spokesperson Kola Anand, State SC Morcha president Panathala Suresh and Tirupati district president Samanchi Srinivas.
