BJP leaders are like vultures, who exploit communal trouble for political gain: Yathindra

Urban Development Minister Yathindra Siddaramaiah on Wednesday likened BJP leaders to “vultures” who derive political gain from communal trouble and deaths.

Speaking to reporters in Mysuru, Mr. Yathindra alleged that BJP leaders visited places where communal violence had occurred and attempted to exploit such incidents for political gain.

He claimed that studies had shown that the BJP had benefited politically in places affected by communal violence.

“The BJP leaders do not want to come to the legislature and discuss drought or drinking water problems. There are several issues affecting the people, but the BJP is interested only in creating communal trouble where none exists,” he alleged.

Defending T. Narsipur Police Inspector Dhananjaya, who has come under criticism from BJP leaders, Mr. Yathindra said the inspector had only advised youngsters planning to take out a Ganesha idol immersion procession on precautionary measures.
