NEW DELHI: Total receipts by BJP's central party headquarters during the last round of assembly polls in Bengal, Assam, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry stood at Rs 1,472.8 crore, as per the party's election expenditure statements for Assam, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry submitted to the Election Commission.The party's closing balance rose to Rs 7,627.2 crore upon the completion of elections on May 6, 2026, compared to Rs 6,722.6 crore on March 15, 2026.BJP, including the party's central headquarters and the relevant state and district units, spent a total Rs 160 crore on the assembly elections in Assam, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. Assam accounted for the BJP's highest spend at Rs 96.3 crore, followed by TN at Rs 51.6 crore and Puducherry (Rs 11.9 crore).
