Andhra Pradesh BJP president P.V.N. Madhav has appealed to people to light lamps outside their homes at 7 p.m. on September 17 as part of the party’s ‘Seva Sankalpa Abhiyan’ marking Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25 years in public service.
Addressing the media in Vijayawada on Sunday, Mr. Madhav said the month-long campaign aims to highlight Mr. Modi’s public service and development initiatives during his 13-year tenure as Gujarat Chief Minister and subsequent tenure as Prime Minister.
He appealed to the people to light an “ashirvada deepam” and pray for Mr. Modi’s health, longevity and continued strength.
