BJP announces list of office bearers: Smriti Irani, Piyush Goyal get key roles

NEW DELHI: The BJP on Monday announced its new team of national office-bearers, with party leader Smriti Irani and Piyush Goyal among those given key organisational responsibilities.Union minister Goyal has been appointed the BJP's national treasurer, while Irani has been named national general secretary for Uttar Pradesh. Rajesh Mangal from Rajasthan has been appointed national joint treasurer.Former Rajasthan chief minister Vasundhara Raje Scindia, Baijayant Jay Panda and Rekha Verma have been retained as vice presidents.The list includes former chief ministers, former ministers and senior organisational leaders from across the country.It also includes Tirath Singh Rawat, Manpreet Singh Badal, Ram Madhav, Baijayant Jay Panda and D Purandeshwari among the national vice presidents."Heartiest congratulations and best wishes to all the newly appointed office bearers of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s National Team.
