BJP accuses Opposition leaders of conspiring to derail India’s progress

Senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader and Union Minister J.P. Nadda on Monday (September 28, 2026) accused the Opposition of harbouring a “toolkit mentality” and attempting to derail the country’s progress.

At a press briefing, Mr. Nadda said Opposition leaders, specifically Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal, Samajwadi Party’s Akhilesh Yadav, and Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee, had a “toolkit mentality”.

He accused them of attempting to defame constitutional institutions and derail India’s progress towards a Viksit Bharat . He said, “their political strategy relies on fabricating falsehoods and vitiating the national atmosphere to gain power for dynastic benefits rather than public service, national security, or dignity”.
