AI Summary

Bitcoin is currently trading at a premium on Coinbase, a phenomenon not observed since May, following a recent price surge to over $80,000. This positive Coinbase Premium indicator is linked to renewed interest in U.S.-listed spot bitcoin exchange-traded funds, many of which use Coinbase as a custodian.

Historically, a sustained Coinbase Premium signals stronger U.S. institutional demand and has been a characteristic of past bitcoin bull runs. Its persistence could indicate further price advances for BTC, potentially breaking key resistance levels.

These ETFs, led by BlackRock's IBIT, have pulled in $3.51 billion in investor funds, the highest tally since October 2025, according to data from SoSoValue.

The Coinbase Premium is not just another market indicator. Historically, a sustained premium, signaling stronger demand on Nasdaq-listed Coinbase relative to offshore global giant Binance, has been a recurring feature of bitcoin bull runs.
