BIS awareness meet for MSMEs held in Erode

The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Coimbatore Branch Office, in association with the Southern Region Water Treatment Equipment’s Manufacturers and Traders (SRWTEMT) Association, organised an awareness meet for the MSME sector on RO water treatment and dispensing systems here on Tuesday, August 25, 2026.
The programme was aimed at creating awareness among MSMEs and manufacturers about Indian Standards, mandatory Quality Control Orders (QCOs) and BIS licensing procedures for RO water treatment and dispensing systems. It also highlighted the role of standardisation in ensuring product quality, safety and consumer confidence.
