Bills on ease of doing business, time-bound service delivery set to be tabled in Assembly

Two key Bills — the Delhi Ease of Doing Business Bill, 2026 and the Delhi (Right of Citizen to Time Bound and Ease of Delivery of Service) Bill, 2026 — are expected to be tabled in the Assembly during the Monsoon Session scheduled from August 7 to 11, sources said on Wednesday.
Lieutenant-Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu and Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Wednesday reviewed the ongoing drive to streamline regulations and minimise compliance burdens in the Capital, which includes the proposed legislation on ease of doing business, sources added. The Bill is expected to be cleared by the Cabinet within a week to allow it to be tabled in the House.
