Billionaires Anne and David Norman’s massive makeover of Auckland’s ex

Billionaire Australasian retailers Anne and David Norman are demolishing an auditorium at the ex-Beca House building and upgrading the two office blocks, developed 36 years ago.

Hundreds of head office staff from James Pascoe Group’s Farmers, Whitcoulls, Stevens, Stewart Dawsons and Pascoes the Jewellers will be on one site once major works are completed.

An assessment of environmental effects by planners Barker & Associates was lodged with Auckland Council.

That explains what is happening in the work designed by architects Ignite Auckland in the construction contract won by Wellington’s L.T. McGuinness.

A new vehicle arrivals area and entranceway will be created on the sunny northern or motorway side of the site.
