NEW DELHI: In a setback to Jan Suraaj founder Prashant Kishor ahead of the Bankipur Assembly bypoll, several party leaders, including candidates who contested the 2025 Bihar assembly elections on the party's ticket, joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday.The leaders who joined the BJP included renowned mathematician KC Sinha, Ritesh Ranjan alias Bittu Singh, Gopal Singh and Jan Suraaj Kisan Morcha district president Braj Kishore Sinha.KC Sinha had contested from Kumhrar, Ritesh Ranjan alias Bittu Singh from Digha and Gopal Singh from Maner in the 2025 Bihar assembly elections as Jan Suraaj candidates.The development comes ahead of the Bankipur Assembly bypoll, scheduled for July 30, where Prashant Kishor is contesting against BJP candidate Neeraj Kumar Sinha.Welcoming the new entrants, Bihar BJP president Sanjay Saraogi said the party was attracting leaders from across the political spectrum because of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership."Inspired by the policies of Prime Minister…
