Bhu Bharati resurvey aims to settle long pending land disputes, says Minister

Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy has said the Bhu Bharati re-survey will provide a permanent solution to long-pending land disputes in Telangana and restore confidence among farmers and landowners.
Speaking after distributing Bhu Aadhaar-linked pattadar passbooks to 780 farmers covering 1,378 acres after resolving an assigned decade-old land dispute at Narayanapur in Kesamudram mandal in Mabubabad district on Monday, Mr. Reddy said a comprehensive land survey had been conducted in Telangana about 125 years ago and no such exercise had been undertaken since then. Successive governments in undivided Andhra Pradesh and the previous government in Telangana had failed to take up a comprehensive survey, he alleged.
As part of the Bhu Bharati re-survey, every inch of land was being surveyed and pattadar passbooks carrying QR codes and maps were being issued to farmers and landowners.
