The Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation is organizing a flash mob and beach walk to celebrate the upcoming inauguration of the Alluri Sitharama Raju airport. The event aims to foster community pride and public awareness for the new infrastructure project.
Why it matters
Public engagement events for infrastructure projects are used to build local support and highlight regional development milestones.
The Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) will organise a ‘Mega Flash Mob’ and ‘Beach Walk’ at R.K. Beach on July 31, at 6 a.m., under the theme ‘Proudly Vizag’. The programme is being organised to create public awareness and to extend a grand welcome to the Alluri Sitharama Raju airport to be inaugurated on August 1.
GVMC Commissioner Ketan Garg has urged the officials of various government departments, GVMC employees, students, youth, sportspersons, voluntary organisations, Resident Welfare Associations (RWAs), and citizens to make the event a grand success.
