He spoke after inaugurating a seminar in Hassan on Sunday to mark the birth anniversary of Bhagat Singh, which drew an enthusiastic response from the student community.
“Bhagat Singh’s work need not be seen only as a work about atheism. It stresses the need to raise questions and seek evidence,” Mr. Dalwai said. “Instead of attributing everything to God’s will or to deeds committed in a past life, students should develop the ability to question any thought or idea and demand evidence before accepting it.”
