A solar eclipse does not come round often, so making the most of it is important with a good vantage point.

London might not be able to offer the total eclipse experience that people in Greenland, Iceland and northern Spain will be able to marvel at on Wednesday 12 August. But it will be the largest partial solar eclipse — when the moon moves to cover the sun — in over a quarter of a century to be witnessed in the UK.
