KUALA LUMPUR: The magistrates’ court here today acquitted Bersatu Youth chief Hilman Idham of causing public fear by making a statement on social media.

Magistrate Nurul Izzah Hasan Basri ruled that after evaluating the evidence of prosecution witnesses and submissions from both the prosecution and defence, the prosecution had failed to establish the elements of the charge under Section 505(b) of the Penal Code.
