Bengaluru Traffic Police introduce trial diversions at Madiwala to ease peak-hour congestion
Bengaluru Traffic Police are implementing temporary traffic diversions at the Madiwala junction to manage peak-hour congestion. The trial, starting August 6, aims to improve the flow of public transport and emergency vehicles.

In an effort to reduce severe morning traffic congestion around Madiwala, Bengaluru Traffic Police will implement temporary traffic diversions on a trial basis from August 6, between 8 a.m. and 10.30 a.m. every day.
The move comes in response to increasing traffic volumes in the city, particularly the influx of vehicles entering Bengaluru from Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Puducherry via National Highway-44 (NH-44). The congestion has been affecting the movement of public transport and emergency vehicles, including ambulances, within the jurisdiction of the Madiwala Traffic Police Station.
Vehicles travelling from S.P. Road (Sarjapur Road) Junction towards Madiwala Police Station Junction will not be allowed beyond S.P. Road (Sarjapur Road) Junction.
Vehicles coming from 100 Feet Road via Water Tank Junction and Ayyappa Junction towards Madiwala Police Station Junction will be stopped at Ayyappa Junction.
