BENGALURU: A 23-year-old software engineer died and her 30-year-old boyfriend was seriously injured after the two allegedly fell from the terrace of a seventh-floor co-living PG accommodation in Whitefield on Sunday afternoon.The deceased, identified as Janani, worked as a software engineer with a financial services company in Pattanduru Agrahara near Whitefield. The injured man was identified as Manikya Velu.According to police, Janani had rented a room at the PG only on Saturday and was staying there with Velu. A senior police officer said the couple, who were from Puducherry, had been in a relationship for six years.Police said tensions had recently developed between the two after Velu allegedly got engaged to another woman. The development reportedly led to frequent arguments between the couple.On Sunday morning, Janani and Velu allegedly had a quarrel before going to the terrace of the building.
