Bengaluru STRR nears completion as four of six packages finished, remaining stretches due this year
The 288-km Bengaluru Satellite Town Ring Road (STRR) project is nearing completion, with four of six packages finished and the remainder expected by late 2026. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari confirmed the progress and noted that new phases are currently under appraisal.

The much awaited 288-km Bengaluru Satellite Town Ring Road (STRR) project is in its final stages, with four of its six packages already completed and the remaining two expected to be finished by September and November 2026.
The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has also confirmed that the proposed six-lane expansion from Oblapura to Kunigal (Phase-I) and Kunigal to S. Mudugadapallu has been appraised by the Public Private Partnership Appraisal Committee (PPPAC), paving the way for the next phase of the project.
The update was provided by Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari in a written reply to an unstarred question raised by member Ajay Maken in the Rajya Sabha on Wednesday (July 22).
