The Bengaluru police’s Namma 112 Emergency Response System and field personnel helped rescue a private college professor from alleged wrongful confinement and prevented a homemaker from taking her own life following a domestic dispute in two separate incidents on Saturday.
The first incident was reported at around 3.20 p.m., when a friend of a 28-year-old professor working at a private college contacted the Namma 112 emergency helpline after receiving information that she had allegedly been confined inside a room in a house within the limits of R.T. Nagar Police Station.
The emergency control room immediately alerted Hoysala-125 attached to R.T. Nagar Police Station. Assistant Sub-Inspector Shivalingegowda and Assistant Police Constable Chinnappa Mulimani, who were on patrol duty, reached the location within 10 minutes.
