A homemaker in Bengaluru has accused a Police Sub-Inspector (PSI) and a constable attached to Varthur Police Station of illegally entering her house on the pretext of resolving a domestic violence case, and allegedly looting gold, cash and other valuables.
The complainant has submitted CCTV camera footage, along with a formal complaint, to the Bengaluru City Police Commissioner and the Karnataka State Human Rights Commission seeking action against the officers.
According to the complaint, the alleged incident took place on July 17 at the residence of Umera, a resident of Prakash Layout in Varthur. Umera alleged that the PSI and Police Constable, accompanied by Kulsum (the complainant), her parents, and around 20 others, entered her house without a court-issued search warrant.
