BENGALURU: Panic gripped JP Nagar 3rd Phase on Thursday morning after a 26-year-old nurse was allegedly chased and attacked with a machete and acid by her husband over a marital row near a private clinic, leaving shocked onlookers and passersby fleeing for safety amid the sudden assault.The injured woman has been identified as Madhumitha, who is from Kolkata and had been working as a nurse at the clinic for one-and-a-half years.Based on the primary investigation, police said that around 9.15am, she had stepped out to have breakfast when her husband, Venkatesan, a native of Tamil Nadu, chased her to the clinic parking area in the basement of the multi-storey building.According to police, Venkatesan arrived on a bike carrying a knife, machete and acid.
