Bengaluru: Namma Metro’s Central Silk Board Junction-KIA Blue Line crosses 72% completion

The Bengaluru Metro’s much-awaited Blue Line, connecting Central Silk Board Junction to Kempegowda International Airport, has achieved 72.5% physical progress, while the Union government has released ₹26,447.27 crore for various phases of the Namma Metro project, according to a reply tabled in the Lok Sabha.
Responding to an unstarred question by Bengaluru Central MP P.C. Mohan on Thursday, the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs said that the Centre has released a cumulative ₹26,447.27 crore, including equity and subordinate debt, to the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) for Phase 2, Phase 2A/2B and Phase 3 of the Bengaluru Metro Rail Project as of July 30, 2026.
