Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation recovers 165 acres of its encroached land
The Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) has successfully reclaimed 165 acres of encroached land over the past two years. The corporation is coordinating with multiple departments to prevent future encroachments and has initiated legal action against 40 individuals.

Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) has recovered 165 acres of its properties, which were encroached, over the last two years.
Lands recovered from encroachment during this period are in Hancharahalli (Mandur), Huchanapalya (Dasanapura), Hirandahalli (Hoskote), Totagere (Hesaraghatta), Kengeri, Bhyrathi and Kannur, among other places, BMTC said. The corporation also said it has registered 10 cases against 40 encroachers.
