A 31-year-old collapsed and died during the Nandi Hills monsoon marathon held on Sunday (August 9) at Nandi Hills.
The marathon was organised by the Department of Youth Empowerment and Sports, Bengaluru Rural Administration, and private companies including J.J. Active and DivyaSree’s Whispers of the Wind. The event was flagged off by G. Parameshwara, Minister for Youth Empowerment and Sports.
The event featured two categories: the 21.1k half marathon and the 10k run.
According to police officials, Amandeep Singh Jagade had registered for the 21.1k half marathon category and had completed most of the run.
