Bengaluru: Head constable assaulted after alleged misconduct with woman on BMTC bus

A head constable attached to the Sanjaynagar Police Station was allegedly assaulted by a group of youths after a woman accused him of behaving inappropriately with her while travelling on a BMTC bus. The incident occurred on Tuesday evening near Gangammanagudi Circle.
According to preliminary information, head constable Manjunath had boarded a bus to travel towards Jalahalli. During the journey, a woman allegedly accused him of behaving indecently, leading to a heated argument inside the bus. The woman is said to have called her relatives over the phone.
As the bus reached Gangammanagudi Circle, a group of youths allegedly intercepted Manjunath and assaulted him. The attackers allegedly tore his clothes and repeatedly assaulted him, leaving him with facial bleeding and bruises. He was later shifted to a private hospital for treatment.
