Bengaluru: Four arrested for forging RCs of cars; eight vehicles worth ₹1.74 crore seized
Bengaluru police have arrested four individuals for operating a racket that forged vehicle registration documents to sell luxury cars. Eight vehicles worth ₹1.74 crore were seized during the investigation.

The Adugodi police have busted a racket involved in forging Registration Certificate (RC) documents of cars and selling the vehicles using fake identities. Four persons have been arrested, and eight cars worth ₹1.74 crore have been seized.
The arrested have been identified as Prabhakar, 43, of SBI Colony, Yeshwanthpur, Venugopal alias Raghavendra, 36, of Ramanagara, Prashanth, 30, of K.R. Puram, and Bagesh, 28, of Hulimavu, Bengaluru City Police Commissioner Seemant Kumar Singh said during a press conference.
The case came to light after a resident of Electronics City lodged a complaint with the Adugodi police alleging that he had handed over his car to a person who promised to clear the outstanding vehicle loans before purchasing it. However, the accused neither repaid the loan nor returned the vehicle, prompting the owner to approach the police.
