Bengaluru-based electric vehicle manufacturer Simple Energy on Wednesday launched the Simple Wave, a new range of electric scooters aimed at family buyers.

The Simple Wave range comprises three variants and is available in six colours — Pearl White, Coral Red, Twilight Black, Polar Blue, Dolphin Grey and Forest Green. The company claims the scooters offer an IDC range of up to 243 km and storage capacity of up to 70 litres, including a 4-litre auxiliary storage compartment called the ‘Pill’.

The new lineup includes the Simple Wave S, Simple Wave and Simple Wave+, with a total of five models across the range.

Speaking at the launch, Suhas Rajkumar, Founder and CEO of Simple Energy, said the company had started with the belief that electric mobility could be engineered differently in India and had since developed the technology, manufacturing capabilities and product platform to bring that vision to life.
