Bengaluru: Drugs worth ₹10.96 crore seized; six arrested
Bengaluru police arrested six individuals, including foreign nationals, and seized MDMA worth nearly ₹11 crore in a series of coordinated operations. The suspects allegedly procured drugs from abroad and other states to sell to students and the public.

In a joint operation, the Girinagar, Hebbal and Vidyaranyapura police have arrested six persons, including foreign nationals, and seized drugs worth ₹10.96 crore in separate operations, Bengaluru Police Commissioner Seemanth Kumar Singh said on Tuesday.
The police recovered a total of 5.480 kg of MDMA from the six accused. The arrested persons include foreign nationals and individuals from Karnataka and other States who allegedly procured narcotic substances at lower prices from other States and abroad and sold them at higher prices to the public and college students.
In one operation, the Girinagar police arrested Jaffer, 35, from Kasaragod in Kerala; Ashiq, 32, of Devarachikkanahalli; and Nigerian national Josiah Abel, 26. They seized 4.320 kg of MDMA, valued at around ₹4.32 crore, from them.
