The Chamrajpet police have arrested a 30-year-old suspected drug peddler who allegedly used bike-based delivery services to transport cocaine concealed inside chocolate boxes. The accused, identified as Raju, a native of Uttar Pradesh residing in Begur, was found in possession of 116.3 grams of cocaine worth approximately ₹58 lakh.
According to the police, officers grew suspicious after noticing delivery bikes frequently visiting an apartment in the Chamarajpet area without making regular parcel deliveries. During surveillance, the police observed delivery riders repeatedly stopping near a parked car for 15 to 20 minutes instead of delivering packages to apartment residents.
On questioning one of the delivery riders, the police found that the parcels had been booked by Raju. Further investigation revealed that Raju allegedly paid the riders a delivery fee of ₹50 and an additional tip of around ₹300 to ensure quick deliveries without delay.
