A popular private club's kitchen here was closed after an inspection found unhygienic conditions, with 40 kg of expired chillies and other food items seized, officials said on Friday.The inspection was conducted by the Food Safety wing of the Department of Food Safety and Drug Administration on September 3, following directions from Health Minister UT Khader, they said.According to the department, major violations of the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006, and the Food Safety and Standards (Licensing and Registration of Food Businesses) Rules, 2011, were found during the inspection at Chairman's Club in Sahakaranagar, under the Greater Bengaluru Authority.The inspection found 40 kg of expired chillies stored for use in food preparation.
