A Bali hotel business owned by Kiwi and Hong Kong interests is expanding its luxury brand, Māua, now on two hotels at the popular Indonesian tourist destination but soon to be on three more elsewhere.
The Faull family of Taranaki and Hong Kong’s James Tam own Swiss-Belhotel International, which has 170 hotels globally.
The business has a name – Māua – to set its luxury properties apart from those under its Swiss-Belhotel and other brands.
The hotel business, employing about 15,000 staff, is bringing a distinctively Kiwi touch to its Bali properties and plans to take that further soon.
