Beerihundi Basavanna took charge as the new president of the Mysuru Rural District Congress Committee at a function held in the presence of former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in Mysuru on Sunday.
Mr. Basavanna is considered to be a loyalist of the former Chief Minister, who is also a Congress Working Committee (CWC) member.
