PATNA: A five-year-old girl was playing with her toys just a few steps away from her mother’s body, apparently unaware that the woman lying motionless on the bed would never wake up again.The child kept playing inside the house while her 22-year-old mother, Asha Devi, allegedly lay dead after being beaten to death with a stick by her husband.The disturbing incident was reported from Madhurapur Ward 6 under Bidupur police station in Vaishali district.Asha’s family members discovered the alleged murder on Sunday after a local resident called them and informed them that their daughter had died.When the family reached the house, they allegedly found the door open and the house deserted.
