Bears beat Panthers 59-37 in Week 1 offensive frenzy
The Chicago Bears defeated the Carolina Panthers 59-37 in a high-scoring NFL Week 1 game. The Bears' offense dominated with a strong rushing performance, while both quarterbacks, Caleb Williams and Bryce Young, recorded significant yardage.

The Bears’ and Panthers’ offenses ran wild today in Carolina, but the Bears were wilder.
Chicago had an incredible game running the ball, with a total of 39 carries for 291 yards and six rushing touchdowns, and Caleb Williams added 269 passing yards and two more touchdowns, in a 59-37 win.
The Panthers’ offense played well too, with Bryce Young passing for 361 yards and three touchdowns and adding a rushing touchdown. If the Panthers’ defense could have stopped anyone, Young and the Panthers’ offense could have been the talk of the league in Week 1.
But the Panthers’ defense couldn’t stop the Bears, who ran the ball almost at will. (The one exception was a surprising fourth-and-1 attempt from the Bears’ own 21-yard line that went nowhere.) It was a tremendous showing from coach Ben Johnson’s offense.
