Sunny Deol’s 'Batwara 1947' has witnessed a massive setback at the box office, with the Partition drama registering a steep decline on its first Monday. The film opened with Rs 5.75 crore on day 1, which is Friday, according to Sacnilk. On day 2, Saturday, it saw growth at the box office and made Rs 13.50 crore. On day 3, the film had lesser shows and it clocked in Rs 7.25 crore. This was 22 percent less than the Saturday numbers.After an underwhelming opening weekend, the Rajkumar Santoshi directorial has seemingly failed the crucial Monday test, earning just Rs 2 crore on August 17, as per Sacnilk.The film’s four-day net collection in India now stands at Rs 28.50 crore, while its gross collection has reached Rs 33.95 crore.
