Bates, Elwiss skittle out Phoenix to help Rockets to big win

The Trent Rockets achieved a dominant nine-wicket victory over the Birmingham Phoenix in the Women's Hundred cricket tournament. The Phoenix were bowled out for 64, with Sophia Dunkley leading the Rockets to a quick win.
Why it matters
The Women's Hundred is a growing professional cricket league, and such lopsided results are notable for tournament standings.
Trent Rockets secured a crushing nine-wicket win over Birmingham Phoenix at Edgbaston despite missing injured captain Nat Sciver-Brunt. Asked to bat first, the hosts were skittled out for just 64 in 95 balls before the Rockets raced to the target in just 31 deliveries. Skipper Ellyse Perry was the only Phoenix batter to reach double figures, making 39 in an otherwise dismal scorecard. Reduced to 15/6 after 36 balls, they were in danger of recording the lowest total in the Women's Hundred - an ignominious record they already hold after being bowled out for 54 against Northern Superchargers in 2024. While Perry stood firm at one end, wickets continued to tumble at the other as batters repeatedly holed out attempting aerial strokes.
