Barbra Streisand Slams Trump’s ‘Unchecked Ego’ for Closing Kennedy Center

Barbra Streisand criticized President Donald Trump ‘s “unchecked ego” amid the ongoing debacle surrounding the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.

Trump has spent a significant time during his second term attempting to remake Washington, D.C.'s Kennedy Center - a living memorial to President John F. Kennedy - in his own image. Earlier this week, the theater’s Trump-appointed board voted to close down the iconic landmark after a federal judge blocked the board from adding Trump's name to the building’s facade.

The board claimed the the temporary closure was because the center is headed for bankruptcy and won’t have the funds to pay its staff. Trump also threatened to nix a planned $257 million renovation if his name wasn’t placed on the building.
