Bangladesh's tribunal sentences Awami League leader to death

A special tribunal in Bangladesh has sentenced Awami League leader Mahbubul Alam Hanif to death for his role in the 2024 July Uprising. The verdict follows a series of similar rulings against former government officials since the ouster of Sheikh Hasina.
