Bandi Sanjay accuses Congress of mudslinging against ECI

Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar accused the Congress of trying to tarnish the image of the Election Commission of India (ECI) for political gains, alleging that such attacks on the constitutional body could undermine the democratic system.
Speaking to reporters in Karimnagar on Wednesday, Mr. Sanjay alleged that the Congress was trying to mislead people by spreading what he described as false narratives about the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.
He said the Congress leaders had in the past raised concerns over what they described as 70 lakh bogus entries in Telangana’s electoral rolls.
