The Shikaripur bandh call given by Bajrang Dal activists, condemning a recent attack on Hindutva activists, received a good response in the town on Wednesday. Many shopkeepers extended support to the protest by downing shutters.
The activists had given the call in the wake of a recent incident in which a group of Hindutva activists were allegedly attacked by persons engaged in the theft of cattle from Hartalu village in Hosanagara taluk.
