A portion of the balcony of a 40-year-old building collapsed and fell on the road in Seven Wells in the early hours of Wednesday, damaging an autorickshaw and seven two-wheelers parked nearby.

The building on Kutti Maistry Street, owned by Pattinapakkam resident Thomas, has four shops on the ground floor and four houses on the first floor.

Following the collapse, police from the Seven Wells station rushed to the spot, cleared the debris and removed the damaged vehicles. No one was injured in the incident.
