Bajaj Auto reported a 46% surge in Q1 net profit to ₹3,226 crore, driven by strong volume growth in both domestic and export markets. The company saw double-digit growth across its motorcycle, commercial vehicle, and EV segments.
Why it matters
Strong financial performance from a major manufacturer indicates robust consumer demand and successful premiumization strategies in the Indian automotive sector.
Beating analysts’ expectations, Bajaj Auto Ltd., for the first quarter ended June 30, 2026, reported 46% growth in consolidated net profit at ₹3,226 crore owing to volume growth of 29%, exports growth of 54% and more revenue owing to premiumization.
Consolidated revenue from operations during the quarter grew 65% YoY to ₹21,689 crore.
The company, on a standalone basis, reported 42% YoY growth in net profit at ₹2,983 crore. Standalone revenue from operations grew 37% to ₹17,244 crore.
The company witnessed double-digit growth on all fronts (ICE/EV, Domestic/Exports, 2W/3W), and the growth was sustained despite a challenging external environment. The exports business was supported by a favourable USD/Rupee exchange rate, the company said.
