Bail refused for teenager accused of driving wrong way on carriageway near Douglas
A 17-year-old teenager in Cork, Ireland, has been denied bail after allegedly driving a stolen BMW X5 the wrong way on a major carriageway. The court heard details of his dangerous driving and subsequent attempt to evade arrest by climbing onto a roof.

Liam Heylin A Cork teenager drove a stolen BMW X5 at high speed in the wrong direction for 600 metres on the N40 at Douglas in the early hours of the morning last month, it has been alleged.
Garda Niall McCarthy, at a special in camera sitting of Cork District Court today, also said that when the teenager was arrested late last night he jumped a garden fence and climbed onto a roof to avoid arrest.
