'Awful': Two killed in North Shore home, man charged with murder

<p>A 41-year-old man has been charged with two counts of murder and one of attempted murder, and a homicide investigation launched, after two people were found dead in Auckland's Glenfield overnight.</p> <p>Police were initially called to a residential address on Seon Place in Birkdale at around 8.21pm after reports a person had been stabbed.</p> <p>Waitematā police Acting Detective Inspector Megan Goldie said a man at the address sustained moderate injuries. </p> <p>"Police arrested the alleged offender at the property," she said. </p> <p>"While speaking with this male, information has prompted us to dispatch a unit to a property at Lingfield Street in Glenfield to conduct a welfare check."</p> <p>Tragically two people, a man and woman, were found dead at that address. </p> <p>"This is an awful set of events.
