Awareness run held in Tirunelveli to promote drug-free society
District officials in Tirunelveli organized a six-kilometer awareness run titled 'Nellai on a Drug-Free Path' to encourage youth to adopt healthy lifestyles. Collector Anand Mohan and Superintendent of Police Vishwesh Balasubramaniam Shastri on Sunday flagged off a six-km awareness run organised by the district police on the theme ‘Nellai on a Drug-Free Path.’
Speaking at the event, Mr. Mohan said the energy and potential of youth were far greater than any drugs, and urged young people to channel their potential on the right path to achieve their future goals. “It is heartening to see a large number of people participating in the event in the early hours of the day. As the youth are the future of the country, they have a responsibility to lead the nation in the years to come.”
