VGM Hospital organised a World Heart Day awareness rally in Coimbatore on Tuesday to highlight the importance of preventing cardiovascular diseases and adopting healthy lifestyles.
The rally, which began at the Racecourse–Cosmopolitan Club Corner and concluded at Thomas Park, was flagged off by Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner Katta Ravi Teja, and founder-chairman of VGM Hospital V.G. Mohan Prasad.
The programme included a heart-health awareness session, a pledge-taking ceremony, a special address by cardiologist D. Dharmarajan and a demonstration of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
